The DGS has published a Journal for its members from its founding in 1970. The DGS Journal provides the medium for achieving the objectives of the Society to promote research and investigation into the name Dalton, the results of which are published and distributed to members by Journal Editor, John Dalton, in June and December each year. The Society has decided to make this impressive set of Journals available to all Daltons worldwide, whether members or not.

They are an authoritative work of reference on Dalton family history and may be purchased here either individually for £3 per Journal, in two-parts (Volumes 8 to 20) for £5 per volume, or in sets. Binders are priced at £6 each and hold 12 journals or 6 two-part volumes. Free postage and packing is included.

The Diamond Collection, a complete set of DGS Journals, is available here for a quarter of the individual price at £50, and the Presentation Collection, a complete set of Journals presented in six DGS Embossed Binders, is available for £75 here. Our Bound Collections will hold all volumes printed since 1970 and are an excellent way for Members to create their own library of DGS Journals.

If you are not yet a member of the Society, please consider supporting our work by purchasing Membership with a Journal. Your local Secretary will offer a complimentary year's membership with every collection.

DGS Library Collection

The Dalton Genealogical Society Library Collection of all back issues is offered for the cost of binding, packing and delivery, with the objective of putting the DGS Journal in front of a larger audience of researchers.

To qualify, the order should go to a library, or to a genealogy or historical society with a research collection, such as National Libraries and private collections like the New England Historical & Genealogical Society, often featured on the US version of "Who Do You Think You Are?" Please contact your local DGS Country Secretary above for further details.

We are most grateful to DGS member Mrs Pat Robinson, who holds stocks of back numbers for the Society and arranges for their distribution in response to requests from the local secretaries (address: Mallards, 3 High Street, The Green, Barrington, Cambridge CB2 5QX, UK email: gandprobinson@waitrose.com.)
